SLF Holiday Message 2024

As 2024 draws to a close, we wish all of you – our Silver Linings – a happy holiday season.

The holiday season can mean many things to different people. It can be beautiful, stress-inducing, or overwhelming, a time filled with community yet also marked by loneliness. For some, this season brings moments of joy, connection, and togetherness. For others, the experience may be less positive, being in a non-affirming or unsupportive environment, leading to feelings of isolation. We hold space for those who may be experiencing the holidays in a challenging way. If this resonates with you, please remember that you are not alone. You are valued, cherished, and loved. We encourage you to lean into the support and understanding of your chosen family—those who uplift and embrace you for who you are. There is strength in community.

We reflect with gratitude on the progress made in advancing equality and inclusivity in Trinidad & Tobago, thanks in large part to your unwavering support and the dedication of our volunteers. As we head into 2025, we hope to foster greater connection and build stronger communities where everyone feels safe, supported and celebrated.
